The Singer's Tea

​Whether you're feeling a tickle in your throat from allergies or overuse, make this simple and effective recipe to soothe your pipes as well as your body, mind, and spirit. 

Makes 4 servings. 

Ingredients

1-inch piece fresh ginger root, peeled and thinly sliced

 

4-6 green cardamom pods

 

4 whole cloves

 

1 cinnamon stick

 

4 cups purified, filtered water

If you are also experiencing mucus, add a few whole peppercorns for additional "heat" to melt it away.

How to make:

Step 1

Add all ingredients into a medium saucepan.

Step 2

Bring to a boil.

Step 3

Cover and reduce heat.

Step 4

Simmer for 15-20 minutes.

Step 5

Strain into a mug.

Step 6

Let cool slightly and drink an 8 oz cup every 3-4 hours.
