My work combines breathing techniques with mindset and performance psychology, because in real life, they’re never separate.
Over time, this work has been shaped by clinical breathing and nervous system research, several decades as a massage therapist addressing stress and chronic pain, yoga and Ayurvedic practices, training in mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR), performance psychology and mindset coaching, as well as working directly with singers, speakers, and real-world performers under pressure. It’s also been informed by my own experience with stage anxiety and overthinking.
What became clear through all of this is simple:
You don’t fix anxiety by trying harder.
You first improve your ability to notice, stop resisting, and take small, meaningful actions that demonstrate you can be present to whatever is uncomfortable and still be okay.
Breath is one of the fastest ways to do that.
But only when you understand how to use it properly.
